REGISTRATION
Lessons are scheduled to begin on Wednesday evening January
6th,2010 and Saturday January 10th, 2009.
(Dates are tentative, dependant upon hill conditions). Please call Alice Hill
Park (613-732-2776) a few days before lessons are scheduled to begin to confirm the start date
and conditions of the park. Messages will be updated regularly.
We strongly recommend that you register before
the first day of lessons. Registration will still be accepted on the first day,
however we cannot guarantee placement in a group or rentals availability for
your first lesson .... this missed lesson will not be rescheduled!

| This club offers both private and group lessons to children and adults. The staff at the hill are very flexible and supportive. |

RACING PROGRAM * 8 week
program
Helmets Mandatory
Nancy Greene Racing Age requirement - under 12
Participant must be registered in the regular Ski School lessons for the current
season. They also must be present for all Saturday afternoon race training. The
last day registration will be accepted is on the first day of training. We must
limit the number of participants so register early to ensure your place on the
racing team.
Paterson’s Age requirement - 12-18
Morning lessons are not required for a Paterson’s racer. For more information on
the racing program or any questions please call Ski hill at 613-732-2776.
LESSON TIMES
Lessons are 1.5 hours each and run for 5 weeks. Kinderski lessons are 1.25 hours
each. Lift ticket is not included in lesson price and all lesson participants
must purchase a lift ticket or have a season pass. Lesson times subject
to change.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Please speak to Ski School Director to arrange a time (Ryland Evans 732-3980).
All private lessons must be booked through our ticket office 613-732-2776. Booking ahead will
insure the availability of instructors.
NOTE: All lesson participants should arrive at least 30 minutes before the start
of the first lesson.
It is extremely helpful if you know your level of ability, or if you know the
step# you have completed. VIEW CHART
LEVEL OF ABILITY
For safety reasons it is important to know your level of ability when
registering for ski or snowboard lessons. The chart below will help you to
accurately rate your ability. This will enable the ski school director to group
participants accordingly.

Step 1 | You have never skied before. |
| Step 2 | You ski on easy terrain, with left and right snowplow turns, and you can stop. | |
| Step 3 | You ski on easy trails with skis parallel at the end of the turn, and you do STEM turns. | |
|
|
Step 4 | You ski on green trails using parallel turns while on blue trails you do STEM turns. |
| Step 5 | You ski on blue trails with your skies parallel throughout each turn. | |
| Step 6 | You ski on blue trails using parallel turns linked by pole plants. | |
|
|
Step 7 | You ski on black trails using synchronized short radius turns. |
| Step 8 | You ski with ease on all types of terrain. | |
| Step 9 | You are an expert on all ski terrain, including bumps. | |
| SNOWBOARDING | ||
|
|
Level 1 | Never snowboarded before. |
|
|
Level 2 | Can slide linked turns both ways on green slopes. |
|
|
Level 3 | Can link turns, starting to carve on edge with speed control. |
SAFETY & RESPONSIBILITY
Everyone using Alice Hill Park is expected to know and abide by the Alpine
Responsibility Code. Since there is an element of risk involved in this sport, a
signed waiver of release is required for all programs and rentals. An assumption
of risk is part of our daily lift tickets. We cannot be responsible for lost or
stolen equipment.
Members of the ski patrol are all first aid certified and receive special
training. They are professionals and work to ensure safety for all. Consider
becoming a certified patroller and help to maintain the safety of everyone on
the hill. If you are interested leave your name and number
